Exigen Reminder provides a quick patient search facility on the toolbar. The quick search only searches on a patient's name. The short cut key combination Ctrl+F allows you to quickly move the cursor to the search field.
If a single word is entered then the search is performed on surname only. All
surnames that start with that given word would be returned. e.g. "Sm"
could return:
Fred Small, Jane Small, John Smit, Robert Smit, Albert Smith, Janice Smith,
etc.
If two words are entered then the search is performed on First name, Surname
matches. e.g. "J Sm" could return:
Jane Small, John Smit, Janice Smith etc.
The search can be further refined using the patients middle name. If there are two Jane Smiths, one Jane Anne Smith and another Jane Elizabeth Smith then a search on "j a Sm" would only return Jane Anne Smith.

If an exact match is found for the patient entered then the patient's details will be displayed immediately otherwise a list of matching patients will be displayed.
