The data Restore option is located on the File Menu. All of Exigen Reminder's forms (e.g. Patient Details, Advanced Search, etc.) have to be closed before you are able to restore data. To start the data restoration close all forms and select the Restore option.

Restoring data will overwrite all current data held by Exigen Reminder, therefore any changes made in Exigen Reminder since the backup data will be lost. The database restore option warns you that data will be lost before proceeding.

Data can be restored from floppy disks or a folder (Network, CD, etc.). The "Browse" button allows selection of the folder to restore the data from.

If the data is being restored from floppies, then Exigen Reminder will prompt you for the floppies as required. Exigen Reminder copies all the data from the backup floppy disk or disks before attempting to restore data.

Once data has been copied from the floppy disks, Exigen Reminder will restore the data. If the data is being restored from a folder then the data will be restored immediately after the folder selection form.
Finally Exigen Reminder will display a dialogue indicating whether the data has been restored successful. If there are any problems reading the backup data, Exigen Reminder will not overwrite the existing data. When the data restore dialogue window is closed the number of patients in the bottom left corner of the main window will be updated accordingly.
