Exigen Reminder allows you to send third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and even eighth reminders.
First reminders are created automatically and are included in the number of reminders due on the "Reminder Letters" list, shown when Exigen Reminder is started. Second reminders may also be configured to be included on the "Reminder Letters" form - see How to set repeat reminders. If second reminders are not set to be included automatically they may also be sent using the further reminders form. Note, it is perfectly acceptable to have second reminders configured to be sent automatically but also manually send them using the further reminders form.
Additional reminders may be sent using the "Further Reminders..." option on the "Reminder Letters" form.
The "Further Reminders" form is selected for the currently selected reminder letter. e.g. if the "Standard Reminder" letter is selected then reminders will be sent only to patients who were originally set to receive this letter.
If the "Third Reminder" option is selected then only patients who have already received two reminder letters since their last appointment will be selected. If the "Fourth Reminder" option is selected then only patients who have received three reminder letters since their last appointment will be select, etc. up to the eighth reminder.
Patients do not have to be sent the same letter as their previous reminders. The "Letter to send" allows you select a paticular reminder letter. Alternatively a new letter can be created with the "Create letter" option. Letters created using the "Create Letter" option will automatically appear in the "Letter to send" list - letters created this way may be managed using the "Reminder Management" form.
The default is to select patients that have not been sent a reminder in the last year. But the "Select Patients" section allows this criteria to be modified. It is possible to select patients that have not received a reminder for a specific time.
Alternatively patients can be selected based on the date of their last reminder. The last reminder is based on the reminder option that is selected e.g. if the reminder option is set to "Fifth Reminder" then the last reminder will be the fourth reminder.
A final alternative is to select patients based on when they had their last appointment.
The "Patient Count" option displays the number of patients that this reminder will be sent to. The "View Patients" option displays the list of patients that will receive this letter.
Use the "Print" option on the toolbar or on the "File" menu to print the required reminder.
Note, Letters created on the "Further Reminders" form may be managed using the "Manage Letters" window.
